In general she intend these classes to be energetic for people of mixed abilities – She tends away from the kind of yoga she has seen in some gyms which focus on repetition and hard stretching. Sweet stretch pain is good but sharp pain is bad, and dangerous. Yoga should be challenging but enjoyable as well. She’d like people to understand and sense their body and mind. Practically classes will be focused on building the strength on your core muscles, back support, improving posture and breathing.
Her style of yoga is based on Hatha Yoga but she also has incorporate elements of Astanga Yoga, Vinyasa flow and pregnancy yoga. She combines these differing branches to make for what I like to think is a unique style which can be tailored for individuals and groups of varying ability and experience. She thinks this can bring many benefits and she likes to think that her personal enthusiasm and love of yoga comes through in her classes.
