When I discovered ashtanga yoga I was hooked from the beginning, the awareness of alignment and self study appealing to me as I have a background in ballet and dance. I and am qualified as a ballet teacher and have taught this to children and adults for many years.
I qualified as an ashtanga yoga teacher with David Swenson and have attended many courses, workshops and retreats with people such as Radha and Pierre in Crete, John Scott, Matthew Sweeney, Scott Johnson and Eddie Stern.
Having studied pranayama with Eddie stern and Robert Moses, in depth during lockdown, I am now qualified to teach pranayama which I believe is an integral part of the yoga practice.
I have a daily morning ashtanga and pranayama practice. Practicing alone and also with my current teacher Adam Keen.
I love teaching and sharing the practice with people, discovering how their bodies work and working out, in close collaboration, how to open their bodies and individualise their practice with adjustments and using the power of the breath.
